Smarter Betting, Not More Betting
PropPilot exists to evaluate NBA points-prop opportunities — not to encourage reckless gambling. Here's how we think about risk.
This Is Still Gambling
Let's be direct: no matter how good the analysis is, sports betting is gambling. A 60% win rate means you lose 40% of the time. Even the best systems have losing streaks — sometimes long ones. If you're not prepared to lose money, you should not be betting.
PropPilot is a tool, not a guarantee. We build projections from real data, test them rigorously, and publish our full record. But the future is uncertain, and models can be wrong.
Our Edge Thesis
We believe edges can exist in NBA points-prop markets because:
- We understand how players score. We break scoring into components — minutes, shot volume, efficiency, and free throws — and factor in tonight's specific context: injuries, rest, rotation changes. When circumstances change, we catch it before the line adjusts.
- Books set lines for balanced action, not accuracy. Sportsbooks optimize to minimize their risk, not to be maximally precise. This creates pricing gaps that careful analysis can identify.
- We size conservatively. We use flat 1% bankroll sizing and require positive executable EV before a pick is published. This isn't about swinging for home runs — it's about compounding small, repeatable edges over time.
What We Don't Do
We are not a sportsbook. We provide analysis only.
All bets are placed through licensed sportsbooks of your choice.
Past performance (58.8% WR) does not guarantee future results.
We cap at 12 picks/night and size at 1% of bankroll.
Bankroll Rules We Follow
These aren't just suggestions — they're hard-coded into our system:
Know the Signs
Gambling should be entertainment, not a source of stress. If any of these apply to you, consider stepping back:
- Betting more than you can afford to lose
- Chasing losses with bigger bets
- Feeling anxious or irritable when not betting
- Borrowing money to gamble
- Neglecting responsibilities because of gambling
- Lying to others about how much you bet
